So when it comes to giving gifts I like to make things whether it textiles things or biscuits and cakes people usually get homemade gifts from me.
This was my boyfriends Christmas gift (how lucky is he I’m expecting something major btw) Schneider-Weisse is his favorite beer and he was distraught when all of our local shops stopped stocking it so I thought until he finds some more he can look at this one, he was very happy on Christmas day
This one proved a lot more difficult than I first thought the background was very layered up which just looked to harsh when stitched so in the end I’ve left it a lot plainer and more like the old wotsit packaging from a few years ago
Clare really liked it and I hope her friend does too!

Hello there old and new Happy New year and all that jazz!
I firstly apologize for my lack of posting, December was an absolutely mental month so I’ve now had a lovely rest over the last week and I am back with a new urge to make 2013 will be super!
Just wanted to show you all this commission I did for a lovely friend who loves The Mighty Boosh, lovely to see it on her wall every time I visit!
Done! The clocks going back yesterday have really made me feel like I’m working super speed

I never even knew what Scampi Fries were when she asked but they are surprisingly rather tasty to eat and to stitch!
After I watched the bake off a few weeks ago I felt all inspired to stitch my own version of the iconic Tunnock’s Teacake
I usually use reverse applique and applique techniques to do my work but I’m trying to do more stitching elements, so with this piece I’ve stitched all of it bar the background blue colour and I I really like how it’s turned out! It obviously takes more time but I really enjoyed doing it this way for a change.
I really like this one and how it’s going. It’s been on my to do list for months so I’m finally getting round to it. I think this may be a postcard in the near future too.
