Anonymous asked: I am thinking of going down an art based career when i leave school, but i am worried that it will be hard to find work, or even to find a job which pays well, just looking for some advice x

don’t be anonymous! i like writing replies to people in their ask boxes.

I have a love for art and being creative and I’ve always known its what i wanted to do for the rest of my life, but at the same time I kind of knew I was never going to be a millionaire and I’m totally fine with that. I’ve been brought up in thinking that happiness is the most important thing in life and I know I’m going to be happy 100% doing what I’m doing.

It will be hard to find work in whatever career path you choose but you shouldn’t let that stop you, put 100% into what you enjoy and you will get what you want.

I worked myself into the ground when I was at uni and have continued to do so for the last year to get myself on the first rung of the ladder of being an artist and I’ve achieved things that everyone told me I’d have to wait years for.

I may not have made a lot of money so far but I’m happy with that art jobs are slow burners you have to be patient enough to wait it out, that’s my opinion anyway :]
